It’s funny how the minute the clock strikes 12:00, people across the entire world are cheering and celebrating with their drunkenness.

Well, I guess you have to account for time difference but you get the idea.

I also find it funny that minutes before the actual new year, we are all waiting with anticipation for that moment as if we’re going to feel any different.

I can say now that at 3:56am, January 1st, I still feel exactly the same as I did 4 hours ago. Well, except for the fact that I’m slightly tired… 

But, I can say with confidence that over the course of this “new year,” I will learn a lot. I will strive to be better, as a sister, a daughter, a friend, a girlfriend, a student, an employee, an individual. 

Not to say that I haven’t accomplished or learned a lot in this past year, but by the time 2012 rolls around my lungs will be renewed and I will have accomplished and learned a lot more than I have at this point. 

As an endnote, I would like to say thanks to all of you who have had a part in my 2010. Good or bad, I cherish all of the experiences that I’ve had because from each and every one of those experiences, I was able to take away a lesson that helped me to get closer to my goal of being a motivated, loving, spiritual and dedicated person. 

I still have a lot of work to do, we all do, so let’s do this.
